Previously I have just lain the paint on to the canvas lavishly and generously. I recognised my brush strokes in Adrian Henri's work and also the brush work of Picasso.

I would let the paint itself do most of the work.

Now I am mixing whilst applying the paint , working the paint into the canvas.
